IC Websites

The Columbus IC Support Group compiled this list of websites that may be helpful when looking for information online. There are a great number of websites and a wealth of information. The ones included here are ones that we feel are particularly helpful. The two main sites are maintained by the Interstitial Cystitis Association and the Interstitial Cystitis Network. Other sites are maintained by government agencies and professional organizations. Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia is included for its discussion of various treatments.

    This site has a great deal of information about all aspects of IC, including disease management, treatment, and research. It includes an article about internet research: “Searching for Health Information online,” by Andrew Weil M.D. The article can be accessed directly here.

  • Interstitial Cystitis Network - www.ic-network.com
    Loads of resources including IC Handbook, medical sources, news, and self-help information. Includes ICNSHOP, which sells a number of IC publications and products. Includes a link to “Interstitial Cystitis: A Brief Guide to IC Resources on the Web.” This can be accessed at www.interstitialcystitis.info.

    Website of the Stanford Protocol on treatment of prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain, which is described in the book Headache in the Pelvis, by David Wise, Ph.D., and Rodney Anderson, M.D.
